DIRECTION FROM THE CLIENT
Previous to the redesign, Childbirth Connection had a lot of content buried in an inconsistent navigation that often left the reader lost. Equally challenging was addressing the two main audiences of Childbirth Connection: pregnant women and the health professionals who serve them.
SPECIAL FUNCTIONS
- Home Page Split Navigation: The home page offers top line navigation to both sections of the website, "For Women" and "For Health Professionals".
- Color Styles to Differentiate Sections: The "For Women" section is in light pink, and the "For Health Professionals" is in dark purple.
- Demographic Collection from PDF Downloads: Childbirth Connection offered free PDF downloads of some of their most important work. In exchange, readers were asked to fill out a form collecting demographics.
- User Registration: Users had the ability to sign in and bookmark their favorite pages and saved PDFs.
